First shipment of COVID-19 vaccine arrives for US troops in S. Korea(주한미군에 COVID-19 백신이 처음 도착합니다.)

The first shipment of US biotech company Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine for American troops arrived in South Korea on Friday. It is the first coronavirus vaccine that has been brought into the country.(미국 생명공학 회사인 모데나의 미군용 COVID-19 백신이 금요일에 (2020년 12월 25일)한국에 도착했습니다. 이것은 이 나라에 들어온 최초의 코로나 바이러스 백신입니다.)

A cargo plane of US delivery company FedEx Corp. carrying the vaccine landed at Incheon International Airport, west of Seoul, from Memphis at around 12:54 p.m., according to the airport authority.(공항 당국에 따르면, 백신을 운반하는 미국 배달 회사 FedEx의 화물기가 오후 12시 54분경에 멤피스에서 서울 서쪽의 인천 국제공항에 착륙했다고 합니다.)

 

The shipment, believed to be 1,000 doses of the vaccine, was being transported to Allgood Army Community Hospital inside Camp Humphreys, the US military headquarters located about 70 kilometers south of Seoul.

Gen. Robert Abrams, commander of US Forces Korea, said Wednesday that his command will begin to receive and administer the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine "over the next few days," and the initial inoculations will go to front-line health care workers and first responders.(주한미군 사령관인 로버트 에이브럼스 장군은 수요일 모데나 코로나-19 백신을 "앞으로 며칠 동안" 접종하기 시작할 것이며, 초기 접종은 최전방 의료진과 응급구조요원에게 갈 것이라고 말했습니다.)
